Beijing's Development and Reform Commission and Housing and Urban-Rural Development Commission have launched the 2027 municipal key project solicitation. Projects are sought in technology innovation and modern industry, infrastructure, and livelihood improvement, split into 2027 key construction projects (including continued and planned new starts, with private investment encouraged) and early-stage preparatory projects. Infrastructure explicitly names the "Six Networks": water networks (flood control, multi-source water allocation, river-lake ecological connectivity), new-type power grids (receiving main grid, low-carbon grid, distribution grid, pumped storage), computing networks (computing infrastructure), next-generation communications (5G upgrade, dual-10G network foundation, emergency communications, satellite internet), urban underground pipelines (gas, heating, water supply, drainage, utility tunnels), and logistics networks (logistics hubs, smart logistics). Context: Beijing's "3x100" key project brand saw over RMB 200 billion in fixed-asset investment in H1 2026, supporting more than 30% of citywide investment. Eligible firms can seek municipal key project status for resource guarantees.
