Ningbo's Science and Technology Bureau has opened applications for the 2026 Ningbo "Gazelle Star" enterprise recognition. Eligible applicants are high-tech enterprises or provincial-level (or above) technology-based SMEs operating in Ningbo, registered for no more than 10 years, active in key fields such as integrated circuits, advanced new materials, AI, robotics, future health, next-generation IT, low-altitude economy, deep space/deep sea/deep earth, quantum technology, brain-computer interfaces, metaverse and new energy storage. Requirements include main business revenue of RMB 5 million or R&D expenses above RMB 2 million last year, R&D intensity of at least 15%, R&D staff at least 20% of employees, plus one of: 15% three-year revenue CAGR or 20% annual growth; 15% three-year R&D CAGR or 20% annual growth; cumulative or three-year equity financing of at least RMB 50 million, or latest valuation of at least RMB 200 million; or core team members selected for the Yongjiang Talent Program. Recognized Gazelle Star enterprises can receive up to RMB 5 million in post-R&D subsidies plus support in R&D, talent, tech finance and services. Apply online via Ningbo Science and Technology Brain (https://stbrain.kjj.ningbo.gov.cn) from September 30 to October 20; local science and technology departments submit recommendations by October 23.
