English version — Guangdong Opens Public Review for RMB 33.368B Qingyuan-Zhuhai Expressway Section
Guangdong Development and Reform Commission has opened a pre-approval public review for the Lianshan-Qingxin section of the Qingyuan-Zhuhai Expressway. The applicant and construction unit is CCCC Fourth Harbor Qingzhu Expressway (Guangdong) Investment Development Co., Ltd. The project is located in Qingyuan City, with a 36-month construction period and a total investment of RMB 33.368 billion. Project capital equals 20% of total investment, self-raised by the construction unit, with the remainder financed through bank loans and other channels.
Scope: about 164.3 km of six-lane expressway at a design speed of 120 km/h, with 34 m subgrade width. Works include 52,732.6 m of bridges across 130 structures (12 extra-large bridges totaling 16,444.9 m and 96 large bridges totaling 34,933.2 m), 34,644 m of tunnels across 21 structures (4 extra-long tunnels totaling 16,479.5 m and 8 long tunnels totaling 11,673 m), 13 interchanges, 5 service areas, 2 parking areas, 1 management center and 2 maintenance work zones, plus traffic engineering and roadside facilities.
Opportunities exist in survey and design, subgrade/bridge/tunnel construction, supervision and testing, building materials supply, electromechanical and traffic safety equipment, and service area operation. Eligible participants include contractors with expressway qualifications, specialist subcontractors, design and consulting firms, supervision and testing agencies, steel/cement/asphalt suppliers, equipment manufacturers, service area operators, and banks interested in project financing.
The public review period runs from September 29, 2026 to October 8, 2026. Within five working days after it closes, citizens, legal persons and other organizations may submit written statements, defenses, hearing requests or opinions to the Infrastructure Development Division of the Guangdong Development and Reform Commission via phone 020-83133067, email fgw_zhjtc@gd.gov.cn, or post.
