English version — Ningxia 2027 Natural Science Fund Calls for Applications
The Science and Technology Department of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has opened applications for the 2027 Regional Natural Science Fund, covering five project categories: Innovation Group Projects (up to 5 years), Key Projects (up to 3 years), Youth Project Category A (PI under 37 as of January 1, 2026, with senior title or doctoral degree), Youth Project Category B (PI under 35, with senior title or master's degree or above), and General Projects (up to 2 years). Key, Youth and General Projects adopt a lump-sum funding mechanism, so applicants no longer prepare detailed budgets and researchers may use funds flexibly within permitted categories.
This is a once-a-year funding window for basic research in Ningxia. Universities, research institutes, national and regional innovation platforms, key laboratories and basic discipline research centers are eligible, and joint applications between institutions and enterprises or grassroots researchers are encouraged.
How to apply: submit via the Ningxia Science and Technology Management Information System (https://gl.nxinfo.org.cn/newgl/src/pms/index.html#/portal/home) under the 2027 Natural Science Fund module. The PI must sign a research integrity commitment letter. Each researcher may apply for only one fund project per year, and those with unfinished funded projects are not eligible.
Deadline: October 28, 2026. Business inquiries: 0951-5020024, 5029255; technical support: 0951-5011204.
