English version — Supplier Opportunity: RMB 17.178B Guangdong G4 Expressway Rebuild
Guangdong Development and Reform Commission has published a pre-approval notice for the feasibility study of the G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway expansion (Xiaotang-Gantang section, northern Guangdong). Total investment is RMB 17.178 billion, construction period 48 months. The project owner is Guangdong Nanyue Transportation Investment & Construction Co., Ltd.; the applicant is the Provincial Communications Group. The route runs about 103 km in Shaoguan, from Pingshi Town, Lechang at the Hunan-Guangdong border to Gantang, Wujiang District, using in-situ widening, realignment and safety-resilience upgrades.
Scope covers 62 mainline bridges totaling 14,330.1 m (3 extra-large at 3,406.9 m; 33 large at 9,683.6 m); 10 tunnels totaling 22,401.7 m, including 2 new extra-long tunnels at 16,025 m, 1 long tunnel at 1,857.5 m, 1 medium at 577.5 m and 2 short at 535 m, plus 1 separated long tunnel at 1,253.3 m and 3 medium tunnels at 2,153.4 m; 8 interchanges (7 rebuilt, 1 new Dongtian North); and 4 service facilities (2 expanded: Yuebei and Ruyuan service areas; 1 relocated: Yunyao parking area; 1 new: Dongtian service area), with traffic engineering and roadside works.
Target suppliers: bridge and tunnel contractors, asphalt and concrete suppliers, steel box girder and precast component makers, TBM and support equipment vendors, traffic safety and smart expressway system integrators, supervision and testing firms. Capital is 25% of total investment, funded by transport key-project funds plus provincial coordination, with the remainder raised by the project company.
